History
Cedar Ridge Elementary School was built during the summer and fall of 1978 and classes moved into the building in December of that year. The school started classes with children in grades kindergarten through grade 4. The building, at that time, consisted of five classrooms and a small multi-purpose room. The building was known as either North School or New Haven North. In 1987 the school was officially named Cedar Ridge. The name was chosen because of the proximity of so many cedar trees and for the Little and Big Cedar Creeks that flow throughout the area.
In the fall of 2018, Cedar Ridge Elementary moved into a new building tucked in the Vineyards Neighborhood.
